Series 65 Optical Smoke Detector

The Series 65 Optical Smoke Detector has a moulded self-extinguishing white polycarbonate case with wind resistant smoke inlets. Nickel plated stainless steel wiper contacts connect the detector to the base. Inside the case a printed circuit board has the optical system mounted on one side and the signal processing electronics on the other. The sensing chamber is a black moulding configured as a labyrinth which prevents penetration of ambient light. The labyrinth has a fine gauze insect-resistant cover.

Series 65A Ionisation smoke detector (UL Listed with Flashing LED),55000-226IMC

The sensing part of the detector consists of two chambers – an open, outer chamber and a semi-sealed reference chamber within. Mounted in the reference chamber is a low activity radioactive foil of Americium 241 which enables current to flow between the inner and outer chambers when the detector is powered up.

As smoke enters the detector, it causes a reduction of the current flow in the outer chamber and hence an increase in voltage measured at the junction between the two chambers.

The voltage increase is monitored by the electronic circuitry which triggers the detector into the alarm state at a preset threshold. An externally visible red LED lights up when the detector changes to alarm state.

Series 65E Heat Detectors With Flashing LED, 55000-121IMC

The Series 65 Heat Detector monitors temperature by using a dual thermistor network which provides a voltage output proportional to the external air temperature. There are 12 heat detectors in the Series 65 range designed to suit a wide variety of operating conditions.

The detector has a moulded self-extinguishing white polycarbonate case. Nickel plated stainless steel wiper contacts connect the detector to the base. Inside the case a printed circuit board holds the signal processing electronics.A pair of matched negative temperature co-efficient thermistors are mounted on the PCB in such a way that one thermistor is exposed to give good thermal contact with the surrounding air while the other thermistor is thermally insulated.

Series S65A base (UL Listed), 45681-200IMC

The bases have been designed to enable detectors to be plugged in without any need for force – particularly useful when fitting to suspended ceilings. All Context Plus bases are lockable.

The standard base is identical to the Series 60 base, so uses the same part number, 45681-200 IMC. It contains no electronic parts which could be damaged during installation.

CP400SR operates over a wide input voltage range of 8 to 28V DC while CP450SER in the range of 20 to 28V DC. Both models are optimised for use at 12V and 24V systems. These conventional wall mount devices are available in 4 tone versions with locally controllable output levels allowing the sound intensity to be adjusted to suit the application. 55000-665IMC - DIL SWITCH Optical Smoke Detector

The Context Plus Intelligent Addressable Optical Smoke detector 55000-665IMC uses an internal pulsing infrared LED and a photo-diode at an obtuse angle. In clear air conditions the photo-diode in the detector receives no light from the LED and produces a corresponding analogue signal. The signal increases when smoke enters the chamber and light is scattered onto the photo-diode. The optical smoke detector has an indicator LED which emits red light when the detector is in alarm.

ES Detect Conventional Detectors

The ES Detect range are non-addressable detectors specifically designed for operation on conventional systems. The range includes a fixed heat detector, fixed heat for Class B, rate of rise detector and an optical smoke detector.

Manual Call Points

Manual call points for the Vigilon and Nano system are easy to install and may be mounted on standard installation back boxes or bespoke red back boxes for surface mounting.

The Vigilon Plus range of control panels are available in 4 loop and 6 loop versions. The 4 loop Vigilon has a self contained power supply and battery standby for at least 24 hours and the 6 loop with external batteries will support a system for 72hrs in the event of a mains power failure.

Certified to EN54 parts 2 and 4 Vigilon may be supplied with or without an on-board printer and has a full Qwerty style keyboard allowing full control and management of the system from the panel if required.

The innovative S-Quad multi-sensor is capable of detecting the products of combustion such as heat, smoke and carbon monoxide. Smoke detection is enhanced using patented dual optical scatter technology. This allows it to be configured to filter specific risks such as steam and dust, resulting in significantly reduced false alarms.
